Corporate headquarters for leading construction Materials Company seeks to add an Employee Services Benefits Coordinator. The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) benefit related activities associated with employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support payroll, tax compliance, HR administration, contract administration, and reporting.
  • Support daily production, programs and initiatives within Benefit Administration.
  • Demonstrate knowledge related to company policies and Section 125 regulations in connection with respective Benefit Administration activities which includes knowledge of Cobra regulations and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
  • Expected to build relationships and work productively with team members, internal customers and third parties to ensure communication is open and there is a basis of understanding for the respective service / program.
  • Maintain employee benefit records and work-paper documentation in accordance with internal requirements to ensure compliance with policies and mandated regulations.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities.
  • Update knowledge base related to the functional area and operational processes and controls.
  • Maintain records in accordance with departmental guidelines to support plan and/or mandated audits of prior year information.
  • Document functional desk procedures, develop and/or maintain scripting for testing and implementation of projects and changes in technological tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
  • Participate in special projects and/or corporate initiatives as needed.
  • Support other areas of Employee Services as needed to meet organization goals.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Benefits department is required
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required, experience with MS Access is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Problem solving acumen
