Corporate headquarters for leading construction materials company seeks to add a Business Analyst. Reporting into the Director of Quality & Process Improvement, the Business Analyst (Accounting Projects) is responsible for leading critical re-engineering and diagnostic efforts throughout the business, with the ultimate goal of improving both operating and financial performance. This opportunity is perfect for a Business Analyst professional who is looking to grow their career with an industry leader.   • Problem solving skills - Superior ability to structure and scope complex problems, apply a range of analytical tools, gain and synthesize insights and develop solutions
  • Client management skills - Ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on projects.
  • Project management skills - Proven ability to frame projects and establish required governance to move projects forward.
  • Engage appropriate resources from within the team, from the line areas specifically sponsoring the project, and potentially external consultants or other support areas with the Firm
  • Identify, gather and help create reports required; analyze data for trending and identify areas of further improvement.
  • Support Accounting managers and directors in data gathering, documentation preparation and data analysis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts through data focused thinking; perform process assessments identifying opportunities and prioritization.
  • Work on short term assignments with process owners to identify, report and document process defects and improvement opportunities. Engage in ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Track measurements on key Accounting KPIs and work with key accounting process owners to further develop performance metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts through data focused thinking; perform process assessments identifying opportunities and prioritization.
Who We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Field required, with course work in Accounting (desired).
  • Strong MS Office knowledge and expertise, specifically Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (JDE, SAP) and interfaces a plus.
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience with formal Lean/Greenbelt Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Action oriented, quick learner who is ambitious and has experience in driving change and delivering results
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout all levels of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year
