Our client, a manufacturing company located near Plano, seeks to add a HRIS Business Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Technology Systems , the HRIS Business Analyst is a technical-functional role that leverages technology and business knowledge to resolve problems and enhance functionality. The analyst will apply comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles, concepts and best practices in designing, developing, configuring and maintaining human resources applications across the organization. Functionally supports Human Resource Information System (Workday) and serves as a liaison between HR, Payroll, IT and vendors.
  • Provides day-to-day HRIS support to Human Resources and the organization.
  • Provides system and security administration; end user technical support; problem solving; process flow documentation; process change requests.
  • Evaluates business requirements into processes and systems that drive efficient and consistent execution.
  • Writes, maintains and supports advanced reporting for Management.
  • Tests and implements planned system enhancements within Workday.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
  • Responsible for generation and follow up of periodic data integrity reporting to maintain employee data accuracy.
  • Ensures application key controls are met for annual IT audit.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
  • Operates in compliance with all local, state and Federal laws as well as Company policy and compliance standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two to three years of HRIS experience with HCM and payroll systems required; Workday preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and laws and various government statutory requirements on employment standards, compensation, benefits, payroll, etc.
  • The ability to create custom reports with Workday reporting tools is required.
  • Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in human resource analytics and metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works collaboratively to build, develop and implement process improvements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR processes and applications.
