Regional Accountant

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the month-end close process for assigned properties including journal entries, account analysis and monthly analytics reporting
  • Prepare monthly GL reconciliations and all month-end accrual entries for assigned properties
  • Maintain communication with corporate operations and property level individuals ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions
  • Financial statement and monthly reporting for assigned properties
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing internal and external audit requests and compliance reporting
  • Other ad hoc management reporting and duties
  • Works closely with Finance, Treasury, and Accounts Payable
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA or CPA Candidate is a plus
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience working for a publicly traded company or for a CPA firm required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with automated accounting programs and systems
  • Advanced technical skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experienced audit skills in account reconciliations
  • Knowledge of and experience with NetSuite and/or BlackLine a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Motivated with time management skills and ability to take ownership of projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be an energetic, innovative and flexible team player willing to share ideas and suggest process improvements
