Established North Dallas property management and real estate services client is hiring a Senior Manager Accounts Payable. Supervising a staff of 30-40, the Senior AP Manager will be responsible for oversight of accounts payable functions, resolution of payment and vendor issues, along with driving process improvement. Must have prior experience managing a  large team including supervisoring level direct reports.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure vendor invoices are accurately processed and paid per agreements.
  • Oversee AP Supervisors and provide guidance on strategy and process for handling vendor inquiries and payment issues.
  • Ensures inquiries and payment issues are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership for all functions related to banking.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with branch leadership teams and other departments within the organization.
  • Assists with recruiting and developing the AP staff and AP Supervisors, providing guidance, leadership and training.  
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Supports and provides leadership by mentoring and training each function of the Accounts Payable department.
  • Provides overall strategic planning, team development, and business process efficiency to the team.
  • Assists with special projects and process improvements as needed.
  • Completes other ad hoc analysis and duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 7 years Accounts Payable experience
  • 5 years of Management Experience including management of supervisory level
  • Experience in Accounts Payable working in a shared service, corporate, operational or customer service-related environment with high-volume
  • Exhibits sound business acumen and financial judgment indecision-making
  • Strong Excel Skills (pivot tables & V-Lookups) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Strongroom desired but not required
