Downtown engineering and construction firm is hiring:
As a
corporate accounting manager for the firm, you will work in a fast-paced, challenging environment. We are looking for a team player with the desire to be an active, long-term contributor in the growth of the accounting teams and organization overall.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supervision and development of a team of talented senior local and global accountants that are responsible for general ledger, intercompany, corporate allocations, restructuring, share-based compensation, payroll accounting, and international accounting support
- Directing research and responses to internal, external, and federal compliance auditors and be able to collaborate to resolve issues
- Reviewing account reconciliations, approving month-end close journal entries, coordinating variance analysis with the accounting teams, and providing guidance on complex accounting issues
- Act as a liaison between corporate headquarters and other cross functional teams
- Lead month-end close to ensure timely financial reporting and provide analysis on fluctuations in accounts
- Collaborating with all levels of the organization on critical subjects such as pensions, fringe analysis, statutory reporting compliance and purchase price accounting
- Perform technical accounting research as needed
- Actively and respectfully participate in corporate wide initiatives
- Support ad-hoc requests as relates to SEC reporting, operations and consolidated financials
Basic Qualification |
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong analytical skills, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
