Contract Manager - VMO (legal

Fast growing national mortgage lending and servicing company in Coppell is hiring a Contract Manager to join their VMO:
Reporting directly to the VP of Vendor Management, the Contract Manager is responsible for oversight and governance of vendors throughout the organization, specifically as it relates to contract development, administration and management.
  • Drafting, reviewing and overseeing the proper execution of contracts with LOBs, vendors and LegalAct as the lead and collaborate with LOBs and prospective vendors to fully understand products and/or services being provided to appropriately assess vendor risk ratings and criticality
  • Understand and adhere to the Vendor Management policy and process for contract management
  • Ensure all critical issues with vendor contracts are addressed prior to contract execution.
  • Assist with vendor reviews, RFP comparisons and selection, and notify LOB if existing vendors provide similar services; consolidate vendors when appropriate to drive preferred pricing and stronger relationships
  • Confirm appropriate follow up of outstanding vendor due diligence items
  • Review contract expiring report from Novatus and take action to process contract renewals and terminations with LOB
  • Work with IT related contracts in software, infrastructure and staff augmentation
  • Work with contract management system for repository and reporting
  • Special projects and other assigned duties and responsibilities as required
  • Ten years’ experience as individual contributor in one or more of the following:
  • Contract development and oversight
  • Vendor oversight
  • Operational or Vendor Risk Management
  • Bachelor's Degree and Law Degree preferred
  • Understanding of the mortgage or financial industry's regulatory requirements for the managing of third-party vendors (CFPB, FNMA, HUD, OCC, etc.) is a plus
  • Mortgage lending, servicing or REO operational experience or knowledge is preferred
  • Strong understanding of information technology and contracts related to software licensing, infrastructure, and staff augmentation services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all business partners
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments within limited time requirements
  • Ability to succeed in a metrics driven, fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DocuSign, Adobe PRO and contract management applications
