We are recruiting for an Entry level Financial Analyst with 0-2 years of experience to be part of our client's dedicated Products and Services team that focuses on Portfolio Management and FP&A for its portfolio companies. Our client is a publicly traded hospitality and real estate related company. This is not a real estate role, though the companies do serve the hospitality end market. The successful candidate will have exposure to corporate senior management and the executives of our client's portfolio companies. This is a career track role, and an opportunity to be an early member of a small and growing team.
This group works in office with flexibility. The leadership of this growing team believes there is an advantage to in person meetings when visiting with corporate leadership as well as the finance, accounting, and executive leadership of the portfolio companies. Responsibilities:
Preparation/review of portfolio company budgets, goals, and forecasts
Monthly financial reviews of each portfolio company
Plan and attend semi-annual portfolio company board meetings for the portfolio companies
Build financial summaries including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
Develop strong working relationships with the management teams of portfolio companies
Ability to take a large amount of data and analysis and convert into a concise presentation to inform executives
Analyze and monitor debt metrics including payment terms, financial covenants, and other restrictions
Assist with the preparation of board/special committee presentations
Conduct industry research
Participate in acquisitions execution including financial, commercial and market due diligence, and create
Requirements: This is an entry level position for candidates with <2 years of work experience. The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, etc.
Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
Strong understanding of accounting and finance
Excellent analytical abilities
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Be an independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Have a very strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
