Senior Accountant (Temporary need to cover a Maternity leave)
CRG has a client with an immediate need for two Senior Accountants to fill in during maternity leave. The position is temporary, but could have perm potential should one or both of the perm employees decide not to return. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and serve as a business partner to the operations and sales teams and is responsible for providing financial statements and documenting policies and procedures.
Prepares financial statements (P&L, BS, and CF), supporting detail, balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis and metrics for multiple entities.
Assists in the creation of accurate budgets and forecasts that allow for the clear understanding of what must be delivered by our management team to meet organizational goals.
Provide a suite of insightful reporting, with a standard hierarchy, linked to the business strategy on business performance, ensuring KPIs are tracked.
Maintain data and accuracy of reporting for multiple dashboards.
Support and delivery of audits/reviews, tax, and compliance issues.
Locates and reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls, implementing new controls, and testing/monitoring the control environment.
Provide lead support to Staff Accountant and AR/AP specialist.
Effectively communicates and partners with senior management and business owners with a strong commercial focus and appreciation of key business issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
CPA /CPA candidate or Master’s degree preferred.
4+ years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience.
Experience with use of accounting system in concert with CRM and merchant services beneficial. Advanced skill-set with Excel, and proficient use of Microsoft products: PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
