Our client is a rapidly growing company located in Gunter, TX and has hired hundreds of employees this past year working in various manufacturing facilities in the southwest. Our client strives to ensure that each employee is experiencing their best job they have ever had. To ensure that commitments can be made, our client is looking to hire a hardworking, Senior Accountant team member. This position will be a mid-level, on site, position with the expectation that additional responsibilities will be added as the candidate becomes more proficient at the responsibilities listed below.

Reports to: Controller

  • Maintain and reconcile company financials and GL accounts
  • Process weekly company-wide payroll
  • Payment of Accounts Payable invoices weekly per payment terms
  • Classifying expenses from credit card – QBO banking match
  • Prepare journal entries, analysis, account reconciliations, and monthly accruals for month-end close
  • Supplies procurement, fulfillment, management of internal inventory PPE supplies & equipment utilized to outfit our team at each location
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits
  • Comply with GAAP for financial statements
  • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries
  • Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, & issues of non-compliance
  • Prepare monthly Sales Tax report
  • Work with management team to prepare budgets
  • Contribute to development of new or amend accounting systems, procedures, & programs

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; minimum Associates degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of accounting work experience
  • Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills
  • Critical thinker, attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office – Excel and Accounting software packages

  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
