Senior Revenue Accountant (Hybrid remote friendly) Our client, delivering innovative, end-to-end media software and networking solutions to over thousands of customers around the globe including the top broadcast facilities and the most technologically advanced sports and live-event venues seeks to add a Senior Revenue Accountant. What you will get to do: The Sr Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the general ledger accounting related to Revenue, Deferred Revenue and Cost accounts with reporting detail by various metrics including Region, Company, Customer, Sales Order, Contract, Item, etc.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of Revenue Detail for Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts, including research and correction.
Provide timely and accurate accounting information to internal customers on an ad-hoc basis
Interface with external auditors to manage year end requests
Review and analyze contracts/agreements and apply ASC 606 (Revenue recognition related to SaaS, Term and Perpetual License/Software, Hardware, Services, etc.)
Assist in monthly analysis of Actuals versus Forecast during the close process
Perform monthly Deferred Revenue & Contract Asset reconciliations between subledger and GL
Maintain monthly detail of Deferred Revenue & Contract Asset balances with a focus on ensuring the integrity and completeness of the data in the reports (VLOOKUP is an important skill for this)
Perform monthly billing reconciliation between Fusion and RevPro systems and work with IT as needed to get missing invoices to RevPro
Compile detailed audit workbooks and related support for the year-end consolidated audit and several statutory audits
Research and respond to revenue variance related inquiries from FP&A and Operations as needed
Demonstrated change agility; ability to seize ownership and drive tasks to completion timely
This position will be primarily focused on managing Deferred Revenue Balances and Providing Audit Support.
Audit support is required for four (4) Corporate Audits: US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Qualified candidates will have experience preparing detailed samples and providing thorough explanation for Revenue and Cost samples according to ASC 606 Guidance.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
5+ of accounting experience with fully integrated ERP systems (Oracle preferred); systems implementations and acquisitions experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP financial reporting requirements ASC 606
Strong proficiency with MS Office suite and advanced skill with Excel.
Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts
Demonstrated proficiency in the close process; reconciliations; account research specific to Revenue, Deferred Revenue and Deferred Cost accounts.
Proficiency with Multi-Element Accounting (bundled deals) including Hardware, Software, Services, Essential elements, Ratable Revenue, with specific Terms and Conditions
Competency in presenting detailed Audit roll forwards for revenues and deferred balances
Proven ability to work under pressure, self-directed, and meet deadlines
